Bismillaah, wasalaatu wasaalamu ala’Rasulullah.

What is Love…?

“Like the wind, which we cannot see yet know is all around us, love is often more easily perceived through its effects. As we transcend the boundaries of ego in order to love and be loved, we put aside self-centeredness and experience unity with another, and compassion, peace, joy, excitement, and fulfillment are the inevitable results. It is irrelevant whether the focus is a lover, a child, a relative, or a friend; the results are both familiar and novel, more so when love is returned in kind. But Paramahansa Yogananda noted that “to describe love is very difficult, for the same reason that words cannot fully describe the flavor of an orange. You have to taste the fruit to know its flavor. So with love.” Those who have tasted of it often equate love with jealousy, bitterness, resentment, lust, or aggressive attachment, but it is none of these things. Love is both a feeling and an action, for as it brings us into the light, so do we strive for the happiness, safety, health, and fulfillment of those we love.” “Much of the mystery is rooted in the incomprehensibility of love’s purpose. Self-sacrifice, procreation, caring, and romance can all exist separate from love. It is possible to have intense feelings for others but not define those feelings as love. And yet love remains a powerful and universal force that uplifts, inspires, and is strong enough to bring about great change.”

“It is true that love can be fleeting and accepts few controls or conditions. The strongest loves blaze into being and wither away in an instant or last lifetimes. The one constant is the release of emotion. Love is not learned but brought forth from within because the basic nature of the human animal is love. It is only fear that causes the need to love and be loved to be buried. When we accept our worthiness and reject indifference, it is then that we are able to become outlets of love.”(source not cited).

“At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet”.
~ Plato

“The brain gives the heart its sight. The heart gives the brain its vision.”
~ Kall

“It is love, not reason, that is stronger than death”.
~ Paul Thomas Mann

“And of course, the brain is not responsible for any of the sensations at all. The correct view is that the seat and source of sensation is the region of the heart.”
~ Aristotle

“The truth of love is the truth of the universe: it is the lamp of the soul that reveals the secrets of darkness”.
~ Kabir
“All that we are
is the result of what we think.
How then can a man escape being filled with hatred, if his mind is constantly repeating: ‘He misused me, he hit me, he defeated me, he robbed me.’ ?
Hatred can never put an end to hatred;
hate is conquered only by love.”
~ Siddhartha Gautama ‘Buddha’

What is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil”.
~ Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

“And think not, you can direct the course of love; for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course”.
~ Gibran Khalil Gibran

“Every religion emphasizes human improvement, love, respect for others, sharing other people’s suffering. On these lines every religion had more or less the same viewpoint and the same goal.”
~ ‘His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama’ Tenzin Gyatso (speaking on the “Golden Rule”)

“All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who is selfish is dying. Therefore, love for love’s sake, because it is law of life, just as you breathe to live”.
~ Swami Vivekananda
“We are all born for love. It is the principle of existence, and its only end.”
~ ‘The Right Honourable’ Benjamin Disraeli

“The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing”.
~ Blaise Pascal

“When mystics use the word love, they use it very carefully — in the deeply spiritual sense, where to love is to know; to love is to act. If you really love, from the depths of your Consciousness, that love gives you a native wisdom. You perceive the needs of others intuitively and clearly, with detachment from any personal desires; and you know how to act creatively to meet those needs, dexterously surmounting any obstacle that comes in the way. Such is the immense, driving power of love.”
~ Eknath Easwaran

to love is to act- that action is::: Islaam. Subhan’Allaahi wa bi’hamdihi.

the fruits of Maulana Jalaludin Balkhi can only be tasted through the heart, and the diamonds of his love gems can be found amongst only- the circle of lovers, thus, if you consider yourself amongst these, then try to understand…

Salvation

There is no salvation for the soul
But to fall in Love.
It has to creep and crawl
Among the Lovers first.
Only Lovers can escape
From these two worlds.
This was written in creation.
Only from the Heart
Can you reach the sky.
The rose of Glory
Can only be raised in the Heart.

The intellectual is always showing off,
the lover is always getting lost.
The intellectual runs away.
afraid of drowning;
the whole business of love
is to drown in the sea.
Intellectuals plan their repose;
lovers are ashamed to rest.
The lover is always alone.
even surrounded by people;
like water and oil, he remains apart.
The man who goes to the trouble
of giving advice to a lover
get nothing. He’s mocked by passion.
Love is like musk. It attracts attention.
Love is a tree, and the lovers are its shade.
-Kulliyat-e Shams, 21

Now is the Time
Now is the time to know
That all that you do is sacred.

Now, why not consider
A lasting truce with yourself and God.

Now is the time to understand
That all your ideas of right and wrong
Were just a child’s training wheels
To be laid aside
When you finally live
With veracity
And love.

Hafiz is a divine envoy
Whom the Beloved
Has written a holy message upon.

My dear, please tell me,
Why do you still
Throw sticks at your heart
And God?

What is it in that sweet voice inside
That incites you to fear?

Now is the time for the world to know
That every thought and action is sacred.

This is the time for you to compute the impossibility
That there is anything
But Grace.

Now is the season to know
That everything you do
Is sacred.

— now is the Time, death is the only unwanted visitor upon us all, and every second longer you spend reading this, you come closer to your end, so once you have read and reflected, implement just as well. ilm wa amaal. get up and go to your purpose, the Only Purpose, to your Creator, to your Lord, to your Salvation…

Bismillah,
